JOB OF A “PSYCHOLOGIST”: DIFFICULTIES OF JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPHERES OF EMPLOYMENT

Annotation

The article deals with specific features of psychological practice which, according to the authors, is characterized by a wide variety of application of professional skills of experts-psychologists. The authors state that development of psychological science created background for professional work of psychologists as the experts capable to employ the corresponding ideas, concepts and theories. Development of the trade of a psychologist is characterized by the shift from domination of the experts who mostly deal with research work (the category “academic psychologists”) to the experts involved in the work of different social spheres (the category “applied psychologists”) and in different kinds of psychological practice (the category “practical psychologists”).
