UNDERSTANDING OF THE SUBJECT MATTER AS AN INDICATOR OF PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

Annotation

The article tackles upon the employee’s understanding of their activities as an indicator of their professional growth. The employees’ understanding of the essence of their work is regarded as a specific tool of cognition and envisioning with its own logic of development. The author analyses the existing psychological research reflecting the structure and main peculiarities of the professional understanding and formulates its basic indicators: differential quality, number of the parameters involved, relevance of the parameters involved, objectivity, individualisation, flexibility, self-development opportunities. The author suggests considering each parameter in its development as a continuum of indicators. The association of a continuum of every indicator with the stages of professional growth allowed to create an original matrix of the professional growth dependence on the peculiarities of the professional understanding which can be useful both, in diagnostics of profession
