Annotation

The article offers a retrospective historical and philosophic analysis of the patriotic education problem existing for many centuries of historic and pedagogic sciences development. The author underlines the dynamic character of the social processes which is reflected in the changes going on in this sphere for the last ten years. The historical and philosophic analysis showed that the patriotic problem always remains topical and the patriotic idea created by generations of our compatriots was developing as a complex of ideas influencing the social life of our people and in particular, the development of patriotic feelings of the new generation.
