Annotation

This article deals with some features of developing universal cognitive activities of pupils at work with a literary text at the senior stage of teaching English in the context of the implementation of Federal state educational standards. The authors share outcomes of successful application of the author’s methodology for the formation and further improvement of cognitive universal teaching activities which have been experimentally proved.
