THEORETICAL GROUNDS OF DEVELOPING PROJECT ACTIVITY OF PUPILS AT ENGLISH LESSONS

Annotation

The article describes the main stages in the history of the method of projects both in foreign and national pedagogics. The author gives outline to the key features of project method and its principal components, the role and value of project-based and research activity in the system of general education. The author finds it significant to pay special attention to organization of project activity, dividing students into working groups and setting objectives and tasks of the project by a teacher. Finally, the author shares possible prospects of introduction and use of the project method in education and anticipated results of its application.
