DEVELOPING CHILD’S VALUE-ORIENTED AND MEANINGFUL PICTURE OF THE WORLD IN THE SYSTEM OF PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
Annotation
The article reveals the basic points of the concept of development of 5-year-olds’ value-oriented and meaningful picture of the world in the system of pre-school education. The following ideas are reflected in the article: 5-6-year-olds form a universal symbolic picture of the world the core elements of which are cognitive values and learning meanings revealing the importance of objects of the surrounding world in people’s lives and the ways they are connected with each other. Value-oriented and meaningful picture of the world created by the child is the result of his/her cognitive development as this knowledge enables the child not to reproduce knowledge, but to search for values and reveal the meanings. Folklore is considered to be the means of development of valueoriented and meaningful picture of the world as it forms a complex of value-oriented and meaningful spheres, such as aesthetic, utilitarian and theoretical.Key words
