Mass communication and media content affect our ways of thinking and seeing the world. Mass-media messages are understood by the audience through interpretation. This article looks at the role of ideology in shaping linguistic reality and creating implicit connotations that make interpretations vary. The author concentrates on the processes of categorization and conceptualization that affect the perception and interpretation of the delivered messages.Key words
