Annotation
The article presents the review of the basic concepts and approaches by foreign and national scientists to the term “ability”. The authors study various methodological approaches seen as the basis for development of the psychological theory of abilities. The article also describes the place of abilities in mentality structure. The article presents the authors’ point of view on mathematical abilities as individual measure of engram expressiveness in the functional systems that is revealed in success and a qualitative originality of development and activity.Key words
