PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL PRECONDITIONS FOR GENDER IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG BOYS AND GIRLS AGED 14–17

Annotation
The article is devoted a problem of studying the effect of individual (constitutional) and psycho-physiological traits on development of teenagers’ gender identity. The author refers to such preconditions as constitutional sex (degree of sexual dimorphism reflected by the constitution), a profile functional sensomotor asymmetry, speed of puberty and functional resources of young boys and girls’ bodies. The psychological distinctions connected with a biological sex between teenagers are studied by means of estimating both gender identity and features of the system of psychological protective mechanisms functioning as well as their intelligence development.Key words
