IS IT POSSIBLE TO LAY FOUNDATION OF CIVIL IDENTITY OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN?.

Annotation

The article covers the basic concepts, such as “identity”, “civil identity” and raises the questions of developing civil identity as a component of social development of personality. The author analyses legal documents that regulate activity of Russian preschool educational organizations. The following structural components of civil identity of children are stated: cognitive, motivational, value, emotionally evaluating and behavioral. It is proved that the most adequate way to develop civil identity of a preschool child is to engage him/her in vigorous activity based on personally significant, emotionally colored experience which is received and comprehended with adult’s assistance in specially organized game space. According to the author, collaborative value-focused life of adults and children full of routine but important events can become the integrated condition for well-rounded personal development.
