IDEALS OF MODERN STUDENTS: PSYCHOLOGICAL CONTEXT

Annotation

The article provides the results of research into ideals of modern students, defines their place in the structure of values and senses, revealing laws and mechanisms of their formation and describes influence of an ideal on development of value-notional sphere structures of students. The ideal is considered as the parameter of personal value-notional sphere development. The article presents ideal typology represented by six basic types of ideals (spiritually-moral ideal, ideal supported by moral norms, family type ideal, ideal of socially successful person, idol as an ideal and anti-ideal expressing negative attitude to an ideal) and four intermediate ones, referred to as group of immature ideals (external socially shaped ideal, ideal as socially approved person, ideals reflecting attachment to parents).
