Annotation

The article deals with theoretical and methodological foundations of management in an educational system. The author gives characteristics of the concepts «administration », «management». The article provides description of different approaches existing in management theory to its content by foreign and domestic scientists. Scientific problems of educational management are revealed as well as problems of management development at school and pre-school educational institutions. The author gives an overview of effective approaches to managing the efficient development of modern pre-school institutions, quality of work and their competitiveness in the educational market.
