THE HEART MATTER AND CONTENT OF CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS AND PATRIOTISM AS A PRIORITY DIRECTION OF EDUCATION OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION

Annotation

The author of the article analyses the heart matter and the content of civic consciousness and patriotism as a priority direction of education of the younger generation. The author argues that civic consciousness and patriotism belong to those issues of social development which are relevant and crucial at any time. The problem of national identity and international relations among young people as well as social differentiation of youth depending on regional specifics also remain topical. The paper provides theoretical analysis of the overlapping terms “patriotism” and “civic consciousness”.
